On Wednesday, Oprah Winfrey ended her 25-year run of her syndicated The Oprah Winfrey Show on a high mark by posting a 13.3 HH rating in the overnight metered markets, based on Nielsen’s data. This is a preliminary number and does not include the St. Louis market which had to preempt the show for storm news coverage. Wednesday’s finale episode became the highest rated for The Oprah Winfrey Show in more than 17 years since February 21, 1994. Earlier this week, Monday’s “Surprise Farewell, Part 1” delivered a 10.2 HH rating and Tuesday’s “Surprise Farewell, Part 2” ticked up to a 10.7 HH rating, both based on overnight metered market ratings.
