Animated comedy, The Ricky Gervais Show renewed by HBO for a third season. Gervais, his collaborating associate Stephen Merchant and friend Karl Pilkington are the voice talent on the show which concludes its second season this Friday.

For the first time, Bravo canceled one of its The Real Housewives series, voting no to a second season of The Real Housewives of D.C. The series version set in Washington, D.C. bowed in August 2010 and lasted through its finale airing last October. Bravo continues The Real Housewives editions in New York, Miami, New Jersey, Atlanta and Beverly Hills.

Comedy series How I Met Your Mother in off-net syndication will join the lineup on FX starting this fall. The series produced by 20th Century Fox Television currently runs in syndication on Lifetime which will continue running the show in reruns even while it debuts on FX. How I Met Your Mother also airs on broadcast television stations in syndication. CBS recently renewed How I Met Your Mother for two more seasons in March.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey’s Dina Manzo gains her own show on HGTV as the network commences production on a new weekly party planning series opening in September. Each episode follows Manzo and her staff at event company Design Affairs as they create extravagant events, from baby showers to graduation celebrations in client’s homes.
