My Strange Addiction on TLC picked up for a second season prior to the airing of the first season finale this Wednesday at 9p.  My Strange Addiction produced by 20 West Productions, examines the lives of individuals struggling with extreme and bizarre addictions.  TLC is also bringing back the series Hoarding: Buried Alive on March 2 at 10p, produced by Discovery Studios.

USA Network’s two-hour prequel film, Burn Notice: The Fall of Sam Axe will debut April 17 at 9p.  Produced by Fox Television Studios, the film is set in 2005 and stars Bruce Campbell as Lt. Commander Sam Axe.

Actress Betty Garrett, known for roles in blockbuster MGM musical films and also in two popular 1970s television sitcoms, died Saturday at the age of 91.  After an early career on Broadway, Ms. Garrett made a contract agreement with MGM and starred in several musicals including “Neptune’s Daughter” and “On the Town” with Gene Kelly and Frank Sinatra.  Best known though, for two recurring 1970s television roles, Ms. Garrett played landlady Edna Babish on Laverne & Shirley and the Bunkers’ neighbor, Irene Lorenzo on All in the Family.

CASTING CALL
Casting is happening now for a new Matchmaker show called Love Scouts for a major cable network.  The show is looking for two specific roles: single men and women living in Southern California who are 23-33 years old to be Clients/Daters.  Please include at least two non-professional pictures, contact numbers and email and a brief note on why you would be great on this show and send all to lovescoutcasting1@gmail.com and put “Hot Single” in the subject line.  The second role is looking for hot, sassy VIP women and men in Southern California to star as one of the show’s Love Scouts.  This role will be part of the ensemble cast to bring in people to match up with the clients.  The ideal candidate must be well-connected in the Hollywood nightlife scene (i.e. Red Carpets, clubs, exclusive events, etc.) and know everyone in town.  A sassy LA attitude is a must.
