The 2011 SOTU address was down -18% from the 2009 address and down -11% from last year’s.

CBS is moving its new comedy Mad Love up by one week to premiere now on February 14 at 830p to tie-in with Valentine’s Day-themed promotions. Rules of Engagement will launch in its new Thursday night at 830p time slot beginning February 24. Starting then on February 14, CBS’ Monday night lineup includes: How I Met Your Mother at 8p; Mad Love at 830p; Two and a Half Men at 9p; Mike & Molly at 930p; and Hawaii Five-O at 10p. Sony Pictures Television produces Mad Love in association with CBS Television Studios.

In other CBS news, the network is renewing its daily talk show The Talk for the 2011-2012 season. Helmed by Julie Chen, Sara Gilbert, Sharon Osbourne, Holly Robinson Peete and Leah Remini, The Talk has averaged 2.21 million viewers and delivered a 1.1/6 among W25-54 and a 0.8/5 with W18-49 since its premiere last October.

Hannah Storm inked a new multi-year extension contract with ESPN which expands her on-air role at the network. Storm co-hosts the 9a-noon edition of SportsCenter, ESPN’s news and information program with Josh Elliott. Now, her duties will expand to include on-site studio events such as the Super Bowl, NBA Finals, Wimbledon and the US Open. Storm will continue her hosting gig surrounding NBA coverage on ABC and ESPN and will also conduct interviews with NFL newsmakers and make appearances on Sports Reporters and other shows. Storm joined ESPN in 2008.
