ABC News President Ben Sherwood addressed news yesterday about the network’s late-night offerings Nightline and Jimmy Kimmel Live.  Sherwood said Nightline will remain on the network’s schedule, though be trimmed back to a 25-minute program airing at 1135p.  Beginning February 4, ABC is moving the start time of Jimmy Kimmel Live to midnight, a promise made to host Jimmy Kimmel in 2010 said Sherwood.  Furthermore, Sherwood related he is working with ABC Entertainment’s Paul Lee to incorporate 13 hours produced by Nightline into primetime hours during 2011.
