TNT announced its series The Closer will end its run with a final seventh season next year. The decision to finalize the series in 2011 was made by The Closer’s star Kyra Sedgwick. The Closer began in 2005 and is presently in its sixth season. During its seventh and final season, The Closer will mark its 100^th episode and production on the 15-episode new season will begin in spring 2011. The Closer is produced for TNT by The Shephard/Robin Company in association with Warner Bros. Television.
