Later this month, TLC is launching a new 12-episode docu-series, My Strange Addiction, chronicling people who struggle with bizarre addictions. The one-hour series will start December 29 at 9p with the first two episodes airing back-to-back. TLC commissioned the series from 20 West Productions.

Former Seinfeld cast member, Jason Alexander is developing a new dramatic television project for CBS produced by CBS Television Studios. The network granted a script order for a yet-to-be-titled one-hour project that would be helmed and executive produced by Alexander. The plot would have Alexander playing a former TV star that is down on his luck and ends up joining his ex-wife’s detective agency. Simon Barry is writing and co-executive producing with Carol Yumkas serving as producer.

HBO’s True Blood is adding a handful of new cast members for the upcoming fourth season. Christina Moore will play a recurring role as a Texas housewife with special abilities. Moore is also a regular on TNT’s HawthoRNe and will firm up her new True Blood role while the TNT drama is on hiatus. Neil Hopkins and Chris Butler will both appear in multi-episodes runs of True Blood with Hopkins playing Claude, brother to Claudine, the queen of the fairies while Butler will play Emory, a conservative shapeshifter.

CASTING CALL
If you are planning a big party and would like to work with a top New Jersey designer, event planner and TV personality to help you create the perfect event and would like the event on TV, then consider applying for this television opportunity. Casting producers are looking for fun, outgoing people living in The Franklin Lakes area of NJ or those living within 30 minutes of the area. If you are planning a life-changing party event for an engagement, baby shower or wedding shower, welcome home party, graduation party or other type of party with a good story taking place in mid-January and inviting 40-50 people, please send an email to: casting@JOHLT.com. With the email include photos of yourself and your partner (the people who will be central to the show), your names, address/city, describe what type of party and why, the theme and look/feel, explain if you are trying to impress anyone, include photos of the outside of the home, photos of the party room and include the dimensions of the room. The television show will provide party planning, design from an expert TV personality and the network will supply the majority of the money for the event and the staffing, though producers are asking for the homeowners (person throwing the party) to contribute a minimum of $5,000 to make the event more personal. If possible, please also include a video of yourself and partner showing your personalities and why you need help to make this a once-in-a-lifetime party.
