Football broadcaster and former NFL player, Don Meredith, 72, died on December 5 in Santa Fe after suffering a brain hemorrhage followed by a coma. Mr. Meredith was one of the first stars of the Dallas Cowboys and also was one of the original broadcast team members on ABC’s Monday Night Football working alongside Keith Jackson and Howard Cosell. Mr. Meredith became one of the more popular sports broadcasters because of his down-home sayings and country charm and humor.
