NBC halted production on any further new episodes of its frosh drama series Outlaw starring Jimmy Smits. The series will continue to air in its Friday at 10p time period for the next several weeks, as five unaired episodes remain. NBC said it will monitor the series’ ratings over these next few weeks before making a decision to keep it or cancel it. Last week, Outlaw averaged 4.7 million total viewers and delivered a 1.0/4 among A18-49. Outlaw is produced by Universal Media Studios and Conaco owned by Conan O’Brien.

Oxygen Media approved a new series featuring Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott titled Tori & Dean: sTORIbook Weddings with production commencing this month. The eight-episode series follows Tori and Dean as they work with couples to make their weddings more extraordinary. Tori & Dean: sTORIbook Weddings is produced by Life In a Bowl Productions and World of Wonder Productions. Oxygen Media also confirmed a sixth season of Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood.

A new pilot slated to air next spring spotlighting Malibu water sports such as surfing, kite surfing and paddle boarding and the Malibu Beach lifestyle and culture is now casting for two females. One position is for a girl experienced with water sports who has lots of personality and the other position is for a traditional beach blonde type with a perfect body and a strong personality. An open casting call looking for only these two types of women is set for October 14 from 10a-1p and on October 15 from 2-5p in Malibu near Zuma Beach.
