CASTING CALL
mtvU and the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) are teaming in their continued search for aspiring young entrepreneurs in the 2010 “Movers & Changers” competition. Finalists in the competition will be seen on mtvU in the short-form series Movers & Changers opening November 17 and will compete for the chance to ring The Closing Bell at the NYSE. The ultimate winner will receive $25,000 in start-up money. Interested college students who are 16 to 28 years old can compete as individuals or in teams of three where they develop and produce an enticing business proposal using social media to enhance their venture. The overall ideas presented should be original, innovative and practical and must have potential to be profitable. Students can target a niche audience or appeal to the masses with their idea. Entries can be submitted online at www.moversandchangers.com, using a short “elevator pitch” video now through midnight on October 8, 2010.
