Actor Ryan O’Neal will attempt to reconcile with his estranged daughter, actress Tatum O’Neal in a new docu-soap series, Lost and Found that is being pitched to networks by Endemol USA. Tatum O’Neal recently moved in her father’s Malibu home though the duo has been estranged for 25 years. Inspired to reunite after the death of Ryan O’Neal’s long-time love, Farrah Fawcett last year, the father and daughter will share therapy sessions together and cameras will follow them as they go on auditions, take acting lessons and individually explore the dating scene. R. Greg Johnston (The Osbournes) will executive produce Lost and Found.

TV comedic legend, Carol Burnett was asked to play Sue Sylvester’s Nazi-hunting mom on FOX’s Glee, cites EW. Details about Burnett’s appearance have not been revealed though her episode is expected to air in October or November.

John Aylesworth, co-creator of one of the longest-running television series, Hee Haw died July 28 in Rancho Mirage, CA. He was 81. Hee Haw, a variety show filled with country music performances and slap-stick, corny humor, ran on CBS from 1969 to 1971 then in syndication for a further 22 years. Mr. Alyesworth and his long-time friend and co-creator partner, Frank Peppiatt served as producers and writers on Hee Haw. Mr. Aylesworth also was a writer/producer for other TV shows such as Your Hit Parade, The Kraft Music Hall, The Judy Garland Show and The Jonathan Winters Show. Mr. Aylesworth and Mr. Peppiatt were part of a writing team nominated for Emmys for The Julie Andrews Hour in 1973 and The Sonny and Cher Show in 1976. A book penned by Mr. Aylesworth, The Corn Was Green: The Inside Story of Hee Haw was published by McFarland this year. He is survived by five children and one grandchild.
