MTV game show host of Remote Control Ken Ober died at the age of 52. Ober was the host of the series for five seasons on MTV, airing first in 1987. The series helped launched the careers of several notables, including Denis Leary and Adam Sandler. He followed the series as producer of Mind of Mencia for Comedy Central and also as a consulting producer for several episodes of The New Adventures of Old Christine on CBS. Ober got his start as a stand up comedian on Star Search in 1984 where he was named the Comedian Champion. No cause of death has been identified as yet.

Oxygen announced a national search for male and female contestants to appear on the second season of Dance Your Ass Off begins later this month. The series wants people who love to dance and are ready to loose weight. A new kids’ game show called House of Fun, from the producers of NBC’s My Dad is Better Then Your Dad and American Gladiators and set to air on a major cable network, is casting high-energy boys aged 13-15 who live in the Los Angeles area. Participating boys will have fun while playing cool games and winning prize money.
