Yahoo! started providing free Wireless Internet in Times Square and will offer it through next year. Web surfers can log in on their laptop or phone at the Broadway Pedestrian Plaza between 43rd & 44th Streets where there is an area with tables and chairs. Loaner laptops are also available on a first-come, first served basis. Competitor Google announced that it will also provide free Wi-Fi. The company is offering wireless at 47 airports (none in the NYC area)through January 15th. EBay has also said that it will give Delta fliers free Wi-Fi on some flights during Thanksgiving week.
