CBS announced a further change in plans for the 61st Primetime Emmy Awards telecast. Recently, the live presentation was moved to September 13 and now it will air on September 20 beginning as close to 8p as possible. CBS’ 60 Minutes will air a flexible broadcast that night following a late afternoon NFL game from CBS Sports. Necessitating the switch in dates, CBS learned MTV was airing its Video Music Awards show on September 13 with locked in sponsors and venue. CBS decided to move the Emmys so both events would not air on the same night. Don Mischer Productions produces the 61st Primetime Emmy Awards and nominations will be announced July 16 starting bright and early at 540a.

Good news for iPhone owners-AT&T has reversed its policy saying it will allow some iPhone owners to upgrade to the new 3G S model for the $199 new customers price when it comes out on Friday. Folks who’ve owned their iPhones for 12-18 months and pay at least $100 in monthly fees qualify for the deal. Some of the 3G S’s features include a 3 megapixel camera, voice-control features, 30-frames/second video recording and a built-in Compass (to go with Cinn Dev’s popular Car Finder app.)
