Auditions For MTV’s (Pilot) Studio Based Dance Show: “Dance Or Drop”

NON UNION 

 

Classic Entertainment Group is holding auditions for an official green lit pilot for a hybrid dance show for MTV.

This show is set to be shot from MTV’s Times Square Studios as a daily live show.

 

We are searching for our KEY / CORE Cast of dancers who will star in the pilot – with the chance to star in the actual series.

**These are PAID – Contracted Positions**

 

This is NOT a “dance contest” in the traditional sense. 

 

We are looking for stand out personalities that also LOVE to dance! 

** If you are not in love with dancing – DO NOT SUBMIT YOURSELF FOR THIS SHOW **

 

At the same time – we are NOT looking for “full time – professional dancers” – if “jazz hands” are part of your dance abilities – we are not interested.

You WILL be asked to solo freestyle (whatever your “style” is ) in addition to dancing with a group of dancers (as you would in a club atmosphere).

Students who consider themselves to be great dancers are perfect for this casting.

 

You are:

Easily the most popular person in your group of friends.

Easily a standout in any crowd of people your age.

Fashionable without being a victim. Aware of current style trends and follow them.

Always on the guest list.

Familiar with all current music and dance styles.

Able to make people like you – no matter who they are – quickly.

 

Criteria:

1. Appear to be between the ages of 18 – 21.

2. Absolutely available for a June 19th rehearsal and a June 20th taping of this pilot. 

3. Plan on being in the greater NYC area on a daily basis – starting the end of the summer into the autumn months – possibly on an indefinite basis.

4. Be able to attend one general casting – and one final elimination group casting – all within the first two weeks of June – in Manhattan.

 

Auditions will start the last week of May (exact dates will be emailed to those who respond).
